The school, canteen and nursery

These three facilities have been brought together in the same building, built in 1978 and situated at Eglisonne (the new residential area above the village). It caters for children from the age of 3 to 11.

The canteen and the nursery are open every school day except Saturday for children taught at Ampus.  The nursery is open from 7.30 until 8.30 and from 4.30 until 6.30.  A maximum of 10 children are taken.  For this reason it is necessary to register earlier for the morning, register the previous evening.

A school bus is provided by the "Conseil Genéral" for children taught at Ampus but who live more than 3 kilometres away, on the Collefrat-Lentier-Ampus route.

The Post Office

The Library
 

The library is on the Place de la Mairie, above the post office.  It is regularly supplied by a library bus with books, CDs and video tapes. There are also some English books. It is open every Wednesday from 5 to 6.30 and every Sunday from 10 to 12.
 

 

 


 Recreation and sports Areas
 

The multi-sports area (opposite the school at Eglisonne), children’s playground at Sainte Anne and the soon to open “muscu-centre” are available for our children.

 

 

 


 Lost Animals
 

The Mairie has opened a lost animal service with the aim of cutting down on the numbers of stray animals.  If your dog or cat runs away you may find it at the "Société Protectrice d’Animaux (SPA)" at Flayosc.

The multi-purpose hall
